Potato roast/Urula kizhangu roast/ Aloo roast.

Potato roast is simple, easy to cook, and very tasty too.

Potato  -2 big

Onion thinly chopped – 1 no

Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp

Chilli powder -1tsp

Turmeric powder -1 /4 tsp

Pepper powder -1 /2tsp

Garam masala  – 1 /2 tsp

Salt to taste

Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes. Heat oil in a pan. Saute ginger garlic paste and chopped onions. when they are soft, add all the powders and saute it for 2 minutes on low flame. Now add potato cubes and mix well. Pour 1 /2 cup of water and salt  and cook till the potato is cooked well. Add 1tsp of oil and cook again on medium flame for a special taste.

Remove from fire and serve hot.

Best served with rice or chappathis.
