Mango Pachadi

INGREDIENTS

Raw Mango / Pacha Manga – 1

Shallots / Kunjulli – 20- 25

Coconut oil – as needed

Green chilli – 4 -5

FOR GRINDING

Coconut – 3/4 to 1 cup

Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp

FOR TEMPERING

Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves

Dry red chillies- 2

METHOD

Chop mango into small pieces. 

Grind coconut and mustard seeds with water into a smooth paste.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds starts to pop, add dry red chillies and curry leaves.

Add onion and green chillies. Saute till onion is soft.

Add raw mango, ½ cup water, and salt.

Cover the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.

After 3 minutes, open the lid and add ground coconut paste and little water.

When it comes to a boil, lower the flame and cook for another 2 minutes.

Raw mango pachadi is ready to be served.
