Ingredients
Oil as needed
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Onion, chopped – 2 cups
Ginger, chopped – 1 tbsp
Green chillies, chopped – 4 Nos
Crumbled paneer – 1 and 1/2 cups
Poha/Aval/Pressed rice – 3 cups
Coriander leaves, chopped – 1/4 cup
Method
In a bowl, keep poha and pour water over it so as it softens. Drain water by placing poha on a sieve. Place paneer in warm water to make it soft. Drain water. Crumble paneer with your hands. Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Add onions. Cook them till they are transparent. Add ginger and green chillies. Saute them for a minute. Add crumbled paneer and salt. Mix well. Now add poha. Mix well so that everything is well blended. Add tomato pieces and coriander leaves. Mix well. Switch off the stove. Serve them hot.
