Ingredients
Banana flower, cleaned – 1 no
Moong sprout – 1 cup
Carrot, grated – 1 small
Grated coconut – 3/4 cup
Green chilli, chopped – 2 nos
Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds – a pinch
Mustard seeds- 1tsp
Rice – 1 tsp
Dry red chillies – 1 no
Shallots, chopped – 2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Oil – 3 tsp
Salt to taste
Method
Heat oil in a kadai. Splutter mustard seeds, rice, curry leaves, red chillies, green chilli and shallots. When the shallots turn light brown in colour, add banana flower and salt. Close with a lid and cook. When the banana flowers are half cooked, add moong sprouts, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and cook. At last, add grated coconut and carrot. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Switch off the flame . Serves hot with rice sambar, moru kachiyathu.

My favourite. Make before but cleaning the flower, ahhh! quite a thing. This is a hunger throne version.
