Ingredients
Rava – 2 cups
Ghee – 8 tbsp
Milk or water – 5 cups
Sugar – 2 – 21/2 cup
Cardamom – 4 nos crushed
Cashews , Rassins – as needed
Food colour – 2 drop
Method
Heat 4 tbsp ghee in a pan roast cashewnuts and raisins to golden browm and keep it aside. In the same pan roast rava in low flame until nice aroma comes. When rava starts to change colour,switch of the stove and keep aside.
Boil 5 cups of water in a heavy bottom pan along with food colour. Add roasted rava slowly and stir continuously to avoid lumps. stir well till the rava is fully cooked . Add sugar slowly and combine well. When the sugar is fully dissolved, and the rava starts leaving the side of the pan.Add roasted cashenuts, raisins, and cardamom powder.
Grease a plate, pour kesari to the plate, allow to set. Cut it in to different shapes.
