INGREDIENTS
Sardines – 6
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt as needed
Oil for deep fry
INSTRUCTIONS
Clean and wash sardines. Give 4-5 slits with knife on the fish and keep aside.
Mix ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt with little water. Masala is ready.
Now with your hands spread thick masala over the fish.
You should coat the masala well on the slits.
Keep marinated sardines for 1-2 hours.
After that, heat oil in a pan and fry sardines on both sides.
Sardine fry/mathi varuthathu is ready.
Note:- If raw sardines have lots of oil in them, use less oil for frying.
