- Chilli powder – 1 dessert spoon
- Coriander powder – 1 dessert spoon
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
- Garlic chopped – 6 nos
- Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cloves – 2 nos
- Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
- Vinegar – 1 dessert spoon
- Ginger chopped – 1/2 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Garlic – 1 teaspoon
- Oil – 2 dessert spoon
- Onion – 2 medium
- Potatoes, boiled – 2 nos (optional)
Directions
Wash and cut beef into pieces. Grind ingredients from 2-9. Marinate ground ingredients, vinegar, and ginger chopped for 1 hour. Pressure cook till one whistle. Reduce the fire and cook for another 15-20 minutes on low heat. (The cooking time varies for beef, so cook until it is done). When the pressure releases, open the cooker. Cook uncovered and allow the water to dry.
Heat oil in a kadhai. Saute onion till brown in colour. Now add curry leaves. Add beef now and fry till it becomes dry. By this time, the masala will be well coated on the beef pieces. If you are using boiled potatoes, add it now. Mix well and transfer to a bowl to be served.
Beef fry is ready to be served with chapathi, rice, pathiri or paratha.
