Green gram sundal is one, quick healthy sweet recipe. It serve as a evening snack or breakfast.
- Moong dal/Cherupayar – 1/2 cup
- Jaggery grated – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Grated coconut – 1/4 cup
Soak green gram for 1-2 hours. In a bowl, boil water and add soaked moong dal and cook well or you can pressure cook moong dal for two whistles. Dal should retain its shape after cooking.
Melt jaggery with little water. Pass this through a sieve. Again, place them on stovetop and add grated coconut, cardamom powder and ghee. Allow the syrup to thicken. Now add cooked moong dal to this and mix. Mix well and serve.
