Chilli beef


Beef  -1/2 kg
Onions diced (square pieces) –  1/4 kg
Chopped Green chillies – 8-10 nos
Capsicum diced (square pieces) -1 no
Tomato (square pieces)-2 nos
Chopped Celery  – 2 stalks
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Soya sauce -2 tsp
Cornflour – 1tsp
Oil  as needed
Salt to taste
Hot water or soup stock – 1 /2 -1 cup


Pressure cook beef in two big chunks. Once cooked, slice the beef into slices.

Pour some oil in a pan, add diced onions and chopped chillies. Saute till the onions are transparent. Now add beef along with pepper powder, soya sauce, salt and saute for 3-4 minutes. Close the pan and keep it on low fire. Now add capsicum, tomato, and celery. Mix well and keep for 3-4 minutes. Now add 1/2 cup of water or stock along with cornflour. Serve along with fried rice.

  2. Loved the spicy beef curry 🙂 Chilli beef has been my all time favorite!! But because my hubby hates it I couldn't cook it at home for a long time 🙁
