Ingredients
1)Cooked and mashed ripe plantains – 4 cups
Milk – 2 cups
2) Grated coconut – 2 cups
Ghee – 1/2 – 3/4 cup
Sugar – 3 – 3 1/2 cups
Water – 1 cup
Vanilla essence – 1/4 tsp
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Cook ripe plantains. Now cut this in half to remove the seeds and fibers. Mash it. keep this aside.
Grind the grated coconut coarsely. Heat a pan, transfer the grated coconut to it and reduce the water completely. Add ghee to this and continue mixing till it gives a light red color. Switch off the stove. Set this aside.
Make a sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in water. Mix mashed banana and milk. Add this to the sugar syrup.When this starts to boil, add set aside coconut.When it starts to thicken, add essence and cardamom powder. It
should be of halwa consistency. Now grease a plate, transfer this halwa like
mixture to the plate and when cold, cut in desired shapes and use.

Its new to me, bananas and coconut for halwa but certainly one I am admiring.
This recipe is new to me.From the recipe ingredients, it seems maybe I can make this on ekadashi fasting.
