Kalan for onam sadhya

Yam – 100 gm
Plantain – 2
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
salt as required
Curd – 1 litre
Grated coconut – 1 coconut
Green chillies – 8
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Dry red chillies – 4
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Fenugreek powder – 1 tsp

Method

Cook yam, plantain, turmeric powder, and pepper powder with some water. When yam and Plantain cooked water has vanished, add salt and curd. Add ground grated coconut and green chillies.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, and curry leaves. add fenugreek powder. Add this to kalan.
