Kaplanga ularthiyathu / Raw papaya stir fry


Raw papaya, cut into pieces -1 medium size            
Shallots chopped – 10 no
Garlic – 2 tsp
Green chili – 2 no slit
Chilli powder – 1tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Curry leaves
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When it splutters,
add chopped shallots, garlic, and green chilies. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add
turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Fry for a minute. Add papaya. Mix well
and cover it with a lid. Allow it to cook in medium flame for 3-4 minutes. Add ΒΌ
cup water if needed. Remove the lid and keep it on a low flame. Roast the
papaya for 10 minutes. Cook until all the water is gone. Remove from fire.
Serve with rice.
