Mango Pachadi

A simple raw mango pachadi, It  is served as a side dish in sadhya. It is prepared with raw mango, coconut, green chilli and onions. 


Raw mango – 1 no

Coconut – 1 cup
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Oil – as needed
Curry leaves
Green chillies – 3 nos
Onion  -1 no
Salt to taste


Chop the mango in to small pieces.  In a pan heat oil,  splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped onion and green chillies. Stir well  till the raw smell of  the onion disappears.Add chopped  mango and cook till it softens, add 1 /2 cup of water and let it cook for some time.Grind coconut and mustard seeds well and add this to the mango mixture and cook in low flame for few  minutes .Do not over cook . Serve hot with rice.
