Pickled Sandwiches


Bread slices – as needed
Grated cheese – as needed
Peppercorns, crushed – 1/2 tsp

For pickled vegetables ( Mix ∧ keep aside for 10 minutes)

Cucumber, peeled lengthwise thinly -1 no
Carrot, peeled lengthwise thinly – 1 no
White vinegar – 1/4 cup
Hot water – 1/4 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Sugar -1 tsp


Soak cucumber and carrot in vinegar, hot water, salt and sugar for 10 minutes.

Spread butter lightly on bread slices. Arrange pickled vegetables and top it with grated cheese or cheese slices. Sprinkle some pepper powder on top. Cover with another bread slice which is spread with butter. Place this on grill or toaster till they are golden brown. Cut into two pieces. Serve hot.
