Potato bonda /Urulakizhangu bonda


1)Potatos – 3 nos

2)Onion   – 2 medium  chopped

3)Green chilli – 2 nos chopped
4)Ginger – 1 piece chopped
5)Curry leaves – few
6)Coriander leaves – little
Mustard – 1tsp
Maida  – 1 cup
Rice flour – 1 tsp
Turemeric powder- 1 pich
Salt to taste


Boil and mash the potatoes . Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds .Saute 2-6 ingredients. Now add turmeric powder and salt and saute again . Remove from stove keep aside to cool. Now add mashed potatoes to this and mix well, make small balls of the potato mixture. . Make a batter of rice flour, maida and salt. Dip the balls in this mixture. Deep fry in hot oil on a medium heat. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
