Finger Millet Drink is a healthy drink with the benefits of ragi, milk, and shallots. It is rich in calcium and is good for people with blood sugar and anemia.
Ragi powder- 8 tbsp
Water – 6 cups
Milk – 1 cup
Shallots – 2 tbsp
Ghee – 2 tsp
Salt to taste
In a saucepan, combine ragi powder, water and salt. Place this on a stove top and bring it to a boil. When it starts to thicken, add milk. When it is slightly thick, switch off the stove. Set it aside.
Heat ghee in a pan, add shallots and fry them. When the shallots are golden brown, switch off the stove and pour over the ragi drink.
The drink is slightly on the watery side, so that you can drink it in glasses rather than a porridge bowl.
