Ragi Puttu

Ingredients


Ragi powder/ Finger millet – 1 cup

Rice powder – 1/4cup
Grated coconut – 1/4 cup
Water
Salt

Method


Mix rice powder, ragi powder and salt. To this add grated coconut and mix well. Sprinkle some water while mixing with the hands without any lumps. The mix should not be too dry or too wet. Keep this aside for 10 minutes.



After 10 minutes, add puttu maker with grated coconut then the mixture. Repeat this grated coconut and then ragi mixture layers. Place the puttu maker on top of pressure cooker (pressure cooker should be filled with 2 cups of water). Steam this till done. 


Serve hot with banana or curries of your choice.

  2. Today it was my break fast but without adding rice powder.For filling i used coconut and grated carrot :)That payaru curry tempting me badly …
