Rajma veg masala

My own recipe

This curry is protein rich and pairs well with chapati.


1)Rajma  – 1 /2 cup
2)Potato – 1no
Carrot  – 1no
Beans  – 6 nos
Cabbage  -1 /4 cup

3)Tomato – 1 no

4)Ginger paste – 1tsp
garlic paste – 1tsp
Onion  – 1 small
Green chilli – 1 no
Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Garam masala – 1tsp
5)Cumin seeds  – 1tsp
Mustard seeds – 1tsp
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves


Soak rajma overnight. Cut vegetables into cubes.
Pressure cook rajma till 3-4 whistles. Now add all the vegetables except tomato and cook till 1 whistle.

Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Add ginger paste and garlic paste. Add onions and saute them well. Now add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala on medium heat and saute them well. Add tomato now. When the tomato gets all mashed up, open the cooker and pour in the rajma along with cooked vegetables. Boil for 3 minutes, then close the lid on medium heat. Served hot with chapati.
