Red spinach chana dal curry


Chana dal – 1 /2 cup
 Spinach  – 1 small bunch
 Onion chopped – 1 no
 Green chilli chopped – 1 no
 Chilli powder – 1tsp
 Turmeric powder – 1 /4 tsp
 Mustard seeds – 1 /2 tsp
 Oil – 2 tsp
 Salt to taste


Pressure cook chana dal along with water till 3 whistles. Set aside cooked chana dal.

Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds. Now add chopped onions and green chillies. Saute well. Add turmeric powder and chilli powder. Saute till the raw smell disappears, Add chopped spinach and salt  and close the lid. Cook in low flame (Sprinkle some water if needed ).When it is done, add dal to it and cook for another 3 minutes.
