Ruby Roots/Beetroot Tonic

Recipe – Joanna Farrow


Beetroot – 200 gm

Ginger, chopped – 1 inch piece

Orange – 1 large


Clean and remove the skin of beetroot. Cut it into pieces. 

Place beetroot and ginger in a blender or juicer to make beetroot juice. Set aside.

Squeeze the juice from the orange. Set this aside.

Combine the beetroot juice with orange juice. Stir well. 

Pour the juice over ice cubes in a glass or clear cup.

  1. I love beetroot. Never had the juice. I have seen recipes for beetroot rasam but have never tried it. This has a good combination of ginger and orange and is bound to be good.
