Sannas is a popular dish of Goa .
Ingredients
Idli rice – 2 cups
Urad dal – 3/4 cup
Yeast – 1/4 tsp
Sugar -2 – 3 tsp
Salt as needed
Method
Soak Idli rice and urad dal for at least 4 hours or over night. Grind this with required water, salt, yeast and sugar.
Grind well to make a fine paste. The batter should be little thicker than the normal dosa batter.Keep the batter for 4-5 hours to rise. Using idli steamer or small moulds cook this batter for 15-20 mints. Pour only half the batter to the moulds . Sannas goes well with spicy non veg curries , pork vindaloo, pork fry, chicken fry etc.
