Ingredients
Wheat flour – 3 cups ( Aasshirvaad wheat flour)
Yeast – 3/4 tsp
Coconut milk – 1 1/2 cups
Water – 11/2 – 2 cups
Salt as needed
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Method
In a bowl, add wheat flour, milk, sugar, and salt. To this, add water little by little, then mix nicely with hands. Transfer this batter and yeast into a blender. Blend well. Transfer into a bowl and mix well. Close this with a lid and allow it to ferment for 5 hours.
Heat a nonstick appam chatti, add a ladle full of batter and rotate it once. The mixture should be thin at the edges. Cover and cook in low flame. When the edges become crisp and centre is cooked, appam is ready.Serve with fish molee, chicken curry , egg curry etc
